We leave Vane Oreld’s shop heading to the bridge leading into the forest with the plan of using Vane Oreld’s alchemical notes on his stump remover invention and the alchemical reagents within his shop to destroy the bridge.
As we approach the Phaendar Bridge we find it is guarded by a group of hobgoblins. The party rushes in while Ceej charges into the fray. The battles goes quickly as hobgoblins fall left and right, only to have Anita succumb and fall unconscious before we could clean the bridge out.

After the defeat of Kergi, Kamren and Myranoc begin going over Vane Oreld’s notes in attempt to create his stump remover. Once they complete and the alchemical mixture begins to fizz and bubble, the remaining party rushes to the other side of the bridge. Reiner blows his siren whistle in the hope of luring the hobgoblins into the explosion.
The party follow the refuges they herded across the bridge as a party of hobgoblins begin to cross onto the bridge in chase. The explosion destabilizes the bridge and dumps the hobgoblin party into the water where they are swept out of site as the bridge begins to grumble into the Marideth River.
The party escapes with 18 refugees and level up to Level 2.
