As the party recovers from the attack upon the Taproot Inn, the party discusses which of the three sites to help clear out first where they will ultimately try to destroy the bridge behind them as they flee the village. As the party surveys the town trying to decide on what to do, its apparent the hobgoblins have planned their movements ahead of time and begin to methodically spread out across the town. While surveying the hobgoblins troops movements, we discover the symbol of the Ironfang Legion. The party quickly loots the bodies and gathers what supplies they can and makes their way to the Riverwood Shrine.

As we arrive at the Riverwood Shrine, we find the body of Father Noolean(?), the Town Pastor, being viciously chewed on by Grijos massive dog a large dog. After dispatching the dog, the party enters to discover a good amount of townspeople dead while hobgoblins desecrate the church. During the battle, as the party defeats Semfet the hobgoblin scout, Takeshi is one-shotted and dies instantly. As we search the temple, we discover Lirosa’s’ round ivory amulet amongst the other items found by the party.
